Des Moines Public Library's 'Rosie's Dream Machine'

"The Des Moines Public Library Foundation is funding $10,000 dollars to make kids' wishes come true through Rosie's Dream Machine, a genie-meets-Rube Goldberg kind of creation that allows kids to express their library desires.

"The travelling machine will make its way to all six public libraries this fall in Des Moines, gathering children’s wishes.  

“'I wished for more dinosaur books,' Josiah Graves, a young library attendee, said, 'because I like dino books.'

"His mom, Christy Graves, said she appreciates the experiences the library has to offer and enjoyed seeing her kid use the dream machine."
