The Rube Goldberg NASEF Minecraft Challenge®
About Competing in Minecraft
The Rube Goldberg Institute has partnered with NASEF to present the Rube Goldberg Big Build Challenge® in Minecraft. This free International competition invites students to imagine, design, and build whimsical chain-reaction machines in the digital world of Minecraft and join the NASEF worldwide challenge.
--Ages 8 to 18 are eligible
--All Minecraft Editions (including Minecraft Education) are eligible
--Free for all teams
--Prizes include Amazon gift cards, electronic merchandise, certificates, swag, etc.
--Winners will be showcased on social media

How to Enter
- FORM A TEAM: All team members must be within the same division: Junior Division (ages 8-13) or Senior Division (ages 14-18). There are no team size restrictions.
- REGISTER: Please have a teacher/adult register. Do not register using a student email address. Entry is completely free.
- DESIGN & BUILD: Guides and tutorials to help create your submission can be found via the NASEF Resource Page.
- SUBMIT: The submission link will be emailed upon registration.
Scoring Criteria
Your competition will be judged subjectively by the staff at NASEF and other members of the community. They are looking for a recognizable theme, entertaining presentation, additional effects, simple machines, and humor. For more hints and specifications, view the rulebook below.
